Search across sources
Start with a genre or a station name
Search the station lists from one field, then choose the result you want. The source stays visible beside the station, so you can see where the stream comes from.

A few places to begin
The player brings several source lists together. What a station broadcasts is controlled by its provider.
SomaFM
Browse its station categories, including ambient, electronic, rock and jazz.
Radio Paradise
Choose from Main, Mellow, Rock and Global mixes. Metadata appears when the stream supplies it.
More sources
The source selector also includes RadCap, FIP Radio France, Misc Stations, Custom Radio and LibriVox Audiobooks.
Station favorites
Save the stations you return to
Use the star to add a station to Favorites. The saved-station list is available from the home view, so you can return without browsing the whole catalogue.
Your own stream
Add a station by URL
Custom Radio provides a form for a station name and stream URL. Use a supported stream from a provider you trust. Format compatibility, availability and broadcast content depend on that source.
A compact player with a few useful choices
Keep the setup simple and choose the appearance you prefer.
Light or dark
Switch between light and dark appearance and choose among eight accent colors.
Stream information
The player shows the station and can display artist and track information when supplied by the broadcaster.
Your source choices
Use the included lists or add a custom stream. Connections go to the selected station and related services.
Get FreeRadio
Version 2.2.2 offers Windows, macOS and Linux downloads, plus a KDE Plasma widget. The Linux AppImage needed additional Qt/Kirigami runtime components in our check; it should not be assumed to be self-contained on every distribution.
